The Hochfeld Group has been involved in manufacturing and trading in packaging since 1941.  The original products were Jute and Hessian bags and cloth.  Thereafter the Group manufactured and traded, jute, hessian, polypropylene, polythene, paper bags and cloth throughout Southern Africa and neighbouring islands.

Currently Hochfeld Grains is active in the trade for the following types of bags for:

Hessian Cotton Packs

Hessian Cotton Packs

Used for the packing of seed cotton at collection points and for transporting the seed cotton to the local gin.   These are packs are made from 10oz.  hessian cloth and are widely used in Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique.

Jute Wool Packs

Jute Wool Packs

Used for the packing of seed cotton at collection points and for transporting the seed cotton to the local gin.   These packs are made from heavy duty jute cloth and are designed for multiple season re-use.   These are mostly used in Zimbabwe and RSA.

Hessian Bags

Used for various packings of agricultural products.   Groundnuts and Cocoa.

Hessian Cloth

Used for the wrapping and packing of tobacco and for frost protection and general gardening applications.

Jute Bags

Jute Bags

These are the old style “streep-sak” used at one time for packing of 90kg of maize and other grains. Now used for grains in African Countries and also for packing of seed cotton in Mozambique.
